You can also view the following email that I received, again from Kate Pickering at Davies Collison Cave, after my emailed reply to Kate's initial email had been received.
From cd@lios.apana.org.au Thu Aug 28 13:56:32 2003 +1000 Date: Thu, 28 Aug 2003 13:56:32 +1000 (EST) From: Kralizec CraigTo: Kate Pickering Subject: Re: Transfer of Ownership and In-Reply-To: <71B8DBBA612ACA4886B4815F7FB0B23C01BECDD1@webmail.davies.com.au> Message-ID: References: <71B8DBBA612ACA4886B4815F7FB0B23C01BECDD1@webmail.davies.com.au> Hello Kate, Thanks for writing back in response to my fax. I figured it's best to have a typed response so there is no disputing what has been 'said'. > We are in receipt of your letter dated 26 August 2003, and have forwarded a > copy to our client. No problem there. I was expecting you to give them (whoever their representative might be since CoS's RTC is based in the US) a copy of the fax. > In light of your concerns that you have had insufficient time to consider > the contents of our letter to you dated 21 August 2003, our client is > agreeable to extending the response deadline to 12pm (noon) Friday 29 August > 2003. > > We therefore, look forward to receiving your response to the undertakings > stipulated in our letter of 21 August 2003 (a further copy of which is > attached) prior to this extended deadline. That happens to be tomorrow. Less than 24 hours. 8-) I have contacted my legal advisor and hope to hear back from her later on today if she's available to talk to me about the matter. With my family and work schedules being what they are I probably would not be able to get back to you with some more news until tomorrow. I'm going to Canberra for the weekend so beyond that, nothing is likely to be done until early next week if I can't discuss the matter with my legal advisor between now and tomorrow morning. You seem to be expecting me to simply do what's been demanded and not question the reasoning - I deal with enough of that sort of attitude at work (I'm a train driver so I do irregular shiftwork). While I acknowledge your civility (and thankyou for being courteous up to now), I have family and work committments which are much more important than this legal issue, so dealing with your demands is fairly high on the agenda but won't get done immediately unless family/work issues get dealt with quickly and I can talk about legal aspects with the right person. If CoS's RTC cannot cope with this, then that isn't my problem. I will endeavour to get back to you as soon as some decisions have been made though. If you happen to come up to Sydney feel free to get in touch and arrange a meeting if you'd like to. Regards, Craig.
